Project 88 IROC

The 86Z has proven too rusted out to effectively salvage, so the body is being scrapped. In its place we'll use this new body from an 88 IROC. This car was originally a 350 with an automatic. It has no rot-through and only a little surface rust. the important places, like the front floors and rear quarters are solid and clean. The plan is to use everything from the 86 on this car; the drivetrain, interior, nose, etc.

The body is just a shell. There is no drivetrain, rearend or interior, just the sheetmetal.

The front structure and the engine bay have already been blasted and painted. There's really not much more to do there.

There's no dash or steering column, but there is a rollbar! Not sure if we'll keep it yet. It won't pass any tech inspections, but it does look cool!

Nothing but some surface rust on the underside of the floors.

This car is super straight and clean in the front. Unlike the 86, it's never been hit in the front.
