The interior was in relatively good shape. The dash was solid and the seats were in perfect condition. The carpet was worn and faded, the door panels were cut up for speakers, and the steering wheel had been replaced with a Grant GT wheel. I scored a console and a steering wheel at a swap meet and replaced the door panels with some reproduction units. I still had the AM radio from my first Camaro, and used that in place of the aftermarket stereo that was in the car. |
This is how the interior looked when I bought the car. |
Another shot of the interior before restoration. |
The drivers floor was pretty well shot. |
Here's the new floorpan installed. |
I used a rubberized paint on the floor. |
New carpeting and a console are installed. |
